How to grow my online business is a question that does not leave a business owners mind.

Growing a business nowadays seems easy but it is not.

We are in the era of information and truth is, too much information is overwhelming and can do more harm than good.

We are constantly being pointed in different directions with many experts telling us “do this one thing and you’ll be successful”, showing their “success” or sharing how many figures they’ve made.

You probably did just like me and gave it a shot on one of those things but didn’t quite work out for you.

I know I’ve been there but finally decided to focus on my unique gift and do what I’m good at.. So, hear me out!

I’m NOT going to give you ONE solution.
I’ll give you key market information and actionable steps, so you can decide what is best for you!

I’ve created this guide after doing A LOT of research and checking out all the business trends for 2022.

My purpose here is to make your life easier and save you time, by presenting you with a summary of the top trends so you can up your business game in 2022 and make smarter decisions.

I want you to ditch the one-size-fits-all experts and start creating a custom strategy that will be effective for you and help you thrive.

I do believe is that every business is unique and with the right information and strategic planning, you can achieve great things.

Let’s get to the list and not waste any more time, shall we?

1. Make your online business services “shoppable” anywhere

If you are not making money, you don’t have a business!

So starting with the $$$ the first trend in 2022 is “shoppable” content.

According to google e-commerce sales has grown 30% last year and in 2022 people are looking for new ways to buy.

Shopping from social media, your TV, YouTube and while navigating through the content you love will be more real than ever.

The key here is making it easy to the customer and you can do that as a service provider as well.

ACTION: Setting your own e-commerce platform to sell your services, courses, templates or other will allow you to link your services on social media and take advantage of this growing trend but don’t forget to have an engaging content and tell a story – nobody likes to feel they are being sold to and that is not changing!

2. Double down on Customer Experience

Another trend which is directly connected to the one above is Customer Experience!

Making it easy and delightful to your customers is on the spotlight. Creating ways for your clients or potential clients to connect with you before or after they make a purchase is crucial. We live in an instant communication era and that should be applied to your business as well (but strategically)

You can do that by applying an Omnichannel strategy to your business, using chatbots and other communication apps to make sure you are in touch with your clients and always caring for them.

ACTION: Focus on increasing your customer experience and making it easy for them!

3. Up Your Video Content Strategy Game

The next one is the good old content marketing.

And when I say content marketing, I’m not talking about social media content only. Social media content is one bucket of content marketing.

As you may know, video content is the new shining star when it comes to social media content.

If you are like me, just the thought of going on camera is dreading but let me expand your horizons a bit.

You don’t need to be in front of the camera to explore video marketing and to create video content, however if you are comfortable putting your face out there, it is the easiest way.

If you thought creating social media posts and graphics are very time-consuming, having a good video strategy and executing on it is even more.

It will be an investment to explore storytelling through video and to use it as part of you content strategy, but video is not going anywhere so you may want to consider putting some budget and time aside to consider this option.

Another trend is video selling!

Having a video on your sales page, thank you page and even sending videos to your leads via DMs, e-mails or other communication channels has proven successful.

According to vidyard report, custom-recorded videos perform 71% better than text when it comes to email and increased the response rate by 75%.

ACTION: Revise your marketing strategy and find ways to add more video content into it.
Tip: Check out your top content and repurpose it to a video format to get started. Grab my free reel process and get started

4. Uplevel your course or group program (or create one)

The EduTech industry keep rising but it is also changing with the drop [PS1] on the attention spam and the different technologies coming to play.

Yes, I’m talking about meta! The use of Virtual Reality in the education market is rising and will continuing to do so, as well as adding gamification to it.

The top trends are personalized learning, gamification, and bite-sized learning.
Soft-skills training is a major trend in educational as well as employers and entrepreneurs realize that soft-skill is, for the most part, more important than technical skill.

Now, the role of the teacher or coach is also changing. Building a relationship with the students will be crucial and the transition to become a facilitator more than a teacher – which will also require some soft-skills training.

ACTION: If you’ve a course or group program (or are thinking of creating one), you should consider your options and how to add the components above to your offer. Creating something simple, fun and accessible will put you in front of the competition.

You can book a call here if you need any support on getting this idea out-the-door!

5. Done for you services

Now, the best news for service providers.

You are also trending! Yes, that is right!
Service providers, freelancers, or gig workers are trending in 2022.

Bigger companies are now considering and hiring contractors to work on specific projects instead of employees.

Hiring subcontractors help keep the costs low (and after COVID, most companies are looking for some savings)

“More than 30% of Fortune 500 companies use freelancers on Upwork ”

70% of small business also uses freelancers to get some work done.

ACTION: If you are a done-for-you service provider, make sure to put yourself in front of different business. Explore multiple platforms and don’t be afraid to reach out to bigger companies.

If you are a coach, consider adding some done-for-you component to your services or partnering with other providers to add even more value to your clients.

As you can see all these trends connects with each other and it is all about the customer.
Making things simple and easy on the marketing and delivery side. Create an online business focused on the customer, the human on the other side.

It’s time to get out of the one-size-fits-all online business model and create an experience that is unique to your audience and that will truly help them.

Be authentic and unique!
